Granville Island is one of Vancouver's top destinations. It has something for everyone: a public market, restaurants, shopping, artist studios, historical buildings, a park, and outdoor activities like kayaking. In the summer months, you can even tour False Creek on a pirate ship!
Jam-packed with market vendors (and, more often than not, tourists), you'll find all sorts of treats and treasures. Beware the seagulls on the docks, though—they'll totally steal your lunch. To avoid the crowds, it's best to explore the market as soon as it opens and towards closing time.
Once you've finished exploring the market, shops, and restaurants, hop on one of the ferries for a quick tour of False Creek (price varies by destination).
